Statement Of Work

The Statement of Work.

Before we assign a project team to any engagement we create a Statement of Work (SOW) which is a document that creates a rough outline for the project. We normally haven't completed Discovery yet but we've all decided we like each other and it's time to take this relationship "to the next level". The SOW is a best guess at what the project will entail; its goal is to be as clear and easy to understand as possible. If there are details or dependencies that we don't know, we will call these out and set an expectation on when you can expect them to be resolved. We will require the project owner to sign a copy of the SOW before we begin. When you sign the SOW, we will assign a project team to your business and plan for the project kickoff. Be sure that the project is a go before you sign the Statement of Work because, based on the size of the engagement, there may be financial penalties to signing the agreement and then deciding to call off the project, plus we'll totally unfriend you on Facebook.
